The Vanishing Wild collection replicas tend to be somewhat heavy. They are scale models of endangered species which are hand-painted and very detailed. Some of the largest pieces in this collection weigh a pound or more! This collection has been discontinued by Safari Ltd.

The Wildlife Wonders collection are lighter in order to make them easier for children to play with, as well as more economical. They have also been safety tested for use by young children.

Either collection has pieces that make an impressive display, with attention paid to detail. Both collections are hand-painted.
